Miller's Minute
Overall thoughts…
"The GARC win is important, as our conference race is tight," said head coach Keith Miller. "Right now, we're 3-3 in the GARC with two more matches coming up this weekend at Navy.
We're still struggling to get more consistent overall. It's good to have two or three shooters performing at a high level in a predictable fashion, but we're still working to get all of our counters up a few points and a bit more consistent. That's our focus for the next few weeks."
Â
On Kendra [Jacobs] and Lauren [Phillips] performances…
"Today we were led again by Kendra and Lauren. These two both had great back-to-back performances this weekend, feeding off each other's success. It's really great watching them both on the line. When one comes off with a strong score, the other sees it and it encourages them further. This is the kind of positive example of individual effort and team support happening concurrently that a coach loves to see."
On Claire Spina's strong outing…
"One good individual thing to see was Claire's performance today, particularly in air rifle. She fired her second highest air rifle score and her highest total score. It's good to see all the hard work that she's put in during training translate over to solid match scores."
