Softball To Open Fall Slate At Duke Saturday

RALEIGH – The NC State softball team is set to open its fall schedule Saturday when it travels to Duke for a 10 inning matchup. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. at the Duke Softball Stadium and the game will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
Saturday will mark Duke's first competition in program history, as the 2017-18 year marks the inaugural NCAA season for the Blue Devils. Admission is free.
NC State returns 12 players from last year's roster, including All-ACC Second Team selection Jade Caraway. The coaching staff has additionally brought in six freshmen that were ranked the No. 19 recruiting class by FloSoftball, as well as sophomore transfers Devin Wallace (Coastal Carolina) and Angie Rizzi (LIU Brooklyn).
