Men’s Soccer Adds Home Match to Schedule

RALEIGH – The No. 30/21 NC State men's soccer team has added a home match to its regular-season schedule, the program announced Monday morning. On Tuesday, October 10, NC State will welcome USC Upstate to Dail Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. match.

The programs have only met once in recorded history, with NC State earning an 8-0 win over then USC Spartanburg in Raleigh on Sept. 30, 1982.

NC State had a home match against LIU Brooklyn cancelled on Sept. 1 due to weather. The Wolfpack was leading the Blackbirds 1-0 in the 32nd minute when the match was delayed due to lightning and ultimately abandoned two hours later.

The Wolfpack (3-3-1) is next in action at home against UNC Asheville on Tuesday, Sept. 26 and plays No. 7/9 UNC-Chapel Hill at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary on Friday, Sept. 29.
