Wolfpack Travels to Minneapolis for Gopher Invitational

RALEIGH – The NC State women's tennis team will look to continue its impressive start to fall tournament play when it travels to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the Gopher Invitational at the Baseline Tennis Center from Sept. 21-24.

Senior Tayla Stenta and junior Amanda Rebol will be representing the Wolfpack, along with freshman Taylor Bridges who makes her NC State debut.

Stenta is eager to start her final campaign with the Wolfpack on a positive note.

"The first tournament of the fall is always really exciting. We have been practicing for a while now so I think we are all eager to head out to Minnesota and compete," she explained. "It's going to be my last first tournament and also Taylor's first fall tournament so I'm looking forward to being out there on the court beside her and Amanda. The girls had some great results out there in Cary this weekend so hopefully we can back it up and make it two good weekends in a row for the Pack."

The Draw

Sept. 21: Stenta & Bridges team up in doubles later this evening as they take on Marquette's Milica Novakovic and Andrea Amortegui.

Sept. 22: Play will start at 8:00 a.m. with two doubles matches and then two singles matches will follow throughout the day.

Sept. 23: Play will start at 8:00 a.m. with two doubles matches and then one singles match will follow throughout the day.

Sept. 24: Play will start at 8:00 a.m. with two doubles matches and then one singles match will follow throughout the day.
