Former NC State women's golf member Sarah Bae (2015-17) was recently selected by the Carolinas Golf Association to represent North Carolina in the 12th and final USGA Women's State Team Championship at the Club at Las Campanas (Sunset Course) in Santa Fe, N.M., Sept. 26-28.
She is one of three amateur, non-college golfers that make up the team. The event, a biannual national championship, will consist of 54 holes of stroke play with two of the lowest three individual scores counting for each round.
She is joined by Hannah Craver (22), a recent Appalachian State alum, and Courtney McKim (27), who played at Oklahoma State and Alabama on the team.

"It's definitely a great feeling to represent the state of North Carolina," Bae said. "Although I've been taking on the role as the student assistant here at NC State and so far it has been an awesome experience, I did miss the team atmosphere from the perspective of a player. I'm excited to get back to team golf and honored to represent NC on the national level."
Having completed her eligibility in 2017 at NC State, the Pinehurst, N.C., native has an extensive amateur resume. She is the ninth-ranked amateur golfer in North Carolina and was a three-time N.C. Junior Girls' Player of the Year. Bae captured the 2016 Carolinas Young Amateur for her sixth CGA title. This year, she placed ninth in the Harder Hall Women's Invitational and qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur. She is joined by Hannah Craver (22), a recent Appalachian State alum, and Courtney McKim (27), who played at Oklahoma State and Alabama on the team.
