ACC Release
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Following a third-place finish in her collegiate debut, Dominique Clairmonte has been named the ACC Women's Cross Country Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Clairmonte, a redshirt-freshman from Lexington, Ohio, made her first appearance for the Wolfpack last week when NC State hosted the adidas XC Challenge. She placed third overall in her first college race, posting a personal-best time of 17:02.2 in the women's 5K.
"Dom was really excited to put the NC State uniform on for the first time after redshirting last year," said head coach Laurie Henes. "She had a very solid opener, staying in a group with her teammates. They are all looking forward to continuing that throughout the season."
This is the first weekly award of the season for the NC State women's cross country program. Elly Henes was the Pack's most recent weekly honoree as she was named ACC Freshman of the Week on Oct. 4, 2016.
Up next, the Pack is set to travel to South Bend, Ind. for the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Notre Dame Golf Course.
