Women’s Soccer 13th In First RPI Of Season

After compiling a 7-1-1 record through five weeks of competition, the NC State women's soccer team is ranked 13th in the first RPI (rating percentage index) of the season, which was released on Monday morning.
Last week the Wolfpack battled to a 0-0 2OT draw with Virginia on Thursday, who ranks among the top five of the national polls, and picked up a 1-0 on Sunday over Western Carolina to close out its non-conference schedule.
The average RPI of the teams NC State has faced so far in 2017 is 93, as four of those opponents are listed among the top 65.
The Pack will return to action Thursday when it hosts Boston College in its last of a five-match home stand. Kickoff is 7 p.m. and the contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
