Manny Perez Named to TDS National Team of the Week

Wolfpack freshman has scored three goals in four matches

RALEIGH – Freshman forward Manny Perez of the NC State men's soccer team (3-1-0, 1-0-0 ACC) has been named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week for the week of September 4-10.

Perez scored the match-winning goal in NC State's win over No. 3 Clemson on Sept. 8. The goal was his third in as many matches. He nearly scored again over the weekend, hitting the crossbar during NC State's 2-1 victory over Longwood on Sept. 10. Perez currently ranks seventh nationally in match-winning goals (2) and 43rd in goals per match (0.75).

NC State is ranked No. 18 in the latest Soccer America rankings and returns to action at No. 2/4 Notre Dame on Friday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with live coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.
