King Named ACC Offensive Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After playing an integral part in the NC State women's soccer team's three wins last week, Tziarra King was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week by the league office on Tuesday morning.
A sophomore from Sicklerville, N.J., she tallied a goal and an assist in the Wolfpack's 5-0 win at Elon, scored both of the team's goals in its 2-1 win over East Carolina and contributed one goal early in a 4-0 win over Davidson.
King has tallied six goals through seven contests this season, as eight of her combined nine shots in last week's matches were on goal. She leads the conference with 16 points and her six goals ties a league high.
NC State opens ACC play Friday when it hosts No. 3/6 Virginia at Dail Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
