Wolfpack goalkeeper stopped five shots to shut out No. 3 Clemson’s potent offense

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Freshman goalkeeper Leon Krapf of the NC State men's soccer team (3-1-0, 1-0-0 ACC) has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Krapf had a great weekend for NC State, playing all 180 minutes of wins over No. 3/5 Clemson and Longwood. He and the Wolfpack held the high-powered Clemson offense without a goal, stopping all five shots that came his way. He then allowed just one goal in the team's next match, a Sunday 2-1 victory over Longwood.
For the week, the goalkeeper from Gochsheim, Germany, posted a .857 save percentage.
