Wolfpack Earns 232 Spots on ACC Honor Roll

Nineteen NC State student-athletes have earned the honor four times or more

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State student-athletes earned 232 places on the Atlantic Coast Conference's Honor Roll for the 2016-17 academic year, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.

The Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. The conference recognized a record 4,472 student-athletes for their hard work in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year.

NC State's men's and women's cross country and track and field programs combined for 45 student-athletes on the list this season. This was followed closely by the men's and women's swimming and diving programs at 41. NC State's men's and women's soccer programs combined for 32 spots, and the football team earned 27.

One hundred and thirty-six Wolfpack student-athletes earned the honors for at least the second time in their careers, while 19 impressively made the list for the fourth or fifth straight year.
