With the start of the 2017 NC State Volleyball season rapidly approaching, GoPack.com will be catching up with each member of the team to see how she is spending her summer and how excited she is to start the season. Periodically a Q and A will be posted to the website titled 'Serve and Pass', giving fans an inside look at each player on the squad.

Describe the trip to Italy.
"The trip to Italy was absolutely amazing, it was an awesome experience for everyone involved. My family was actually able to come with us and I was very lucky to have them with me. Being able to immerse ourselves in a different culture and play against different teams will be very beneficial for us. Hopefully, that experience will help us for the upcoming season."
What was the best part of the trip?
"Getting to interact with the players from the teams we played was really cool to get their perspective on the game and how they interact with each other."
Had you ever been to Italy before?
"No, it was my first time traveling to Europe."
How excited were you when you found out that you would be going to Italy?
"I was ecstatic. It was really cool because I had never been to Europe before and being able to do that with some of my best friends was an awesome experience."
What did you do on the flight to pass the time?
"I watched a lot of Netflix and slept."
Other than the Italy trip, have you taken any other vacations or do you have any planned?
"I'm going home to Charlotte to visit family and relax before the season starts, but not much other than that."
How does it feel to be a junior?
"It's crazy. It's absolutely crazy how fast time flies. I have two more years left and I have to make the most of it and perform to best of my abilities."
How excited are you to start the season?
"I'm very excited. We have a lot of talent and I'm very excited to see where it will take us. With the Italy trip, we were able to get very close as a team and form a close bond. I think that has really prepared us for the season."
What are your goals for the season?
"Individually, I just want to contribute in any way that I can. I've been moving around positions to help fill whatever role I'm needed at that particular time. As a team, our goals are high. We want to compete with the best of the best, be in the top of the ACC and make the NCAA Tournament."
Was there anything in particular that you wanted to work on this summer for the season?
"We've been doing a lot of strength and conditioning to get our bodies ready for the season, so that we're able to perform our best late in the season as well."
Tickets are ON SALE NOW, as single-game tickets are adults - $7, youth (17 and younger) - $5, and groups (15 or more) - $3. Children age two or younger will be admitted free.
Season tickets are also available for adults ($50), seniors/youth ($25) and are ON SALE NOW.
