Frantova Earns All-ACC Academic Team Honors

RALEIGH - Martina Frantova, a recent graduate of the NC State women's tennis team, has been named to the All-ACC Academic Women's Tennis Team, as announced Monday morning by the conference.Â
The Bratislava, Slovakia, native graduated in May with a degree in Business Administration.
In her final season with the Wolfpack, she concluded the year ranked No. 73 on the Oracle/ITA singles poll. Playing at the top position, she accumulated a record of 12-16 (4-10 ACC) during the dual season.Â
In doubles play, Frantova and her partner Anna Rogers distinguished themselves as the most successful duo in NC State history. Highlighting their season was a trip to the NCAA Doubles Championship, where they moved on to the Sweet 16 to mark the furthest any NC State tandem has advanced. Additionally, they stand as just the third Wolfpack team to earn a bid to the Championship.Â
Frantova and Rogers tallied 27 wins throughout the year, the most by any pair in program history. In the final doubles poll, the duo landed at No. 12, the highest finish for a Wolfpack doubles team.
Her successful year on the courts additionally led her to tab her second consecutive All-ACC Second Team honor.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during their academic career.
