GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Baseball Championship field is set, as NC State will be the seven seed in pool B along with second-seeded UNC-Chapel Hill and 11th-seed Boston College. The Wolfpack will take on the Eagles in its first matchup in the tournament Tuesday, May 23 at 3 p.m. and play the Tar Heels Friday evening, May 26 at 7 p.m.

This year's event will be held in Louisville, Ky., at Louisville Slugger Field, home of the Louisville Bats, Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

Louisville (46-9, 23-6 ACC) earned the No. 1 overall seed and will head up Pool A. The Cardinals will be joined by eighth-seeded Florida State (35-20, 14-14) and 12th-seeded Notre Dame (26-30, 10-20). Pool B features No. 2 UNC-Chapel Hill (44-11, 23-7), along with No. 7 NC State (33-22, 16-14) and No. 11 Boston College (25-26, 11-19). No. 3 Wake Forest (38-17, 19-11) is joined in Pool C by No. 6 Miami (29-26, 16-13) and No. 10 Georgia Tech (27-26, 11-19), while Pool D features No. 4 Virginia (41-13, 18-12), No. 5 Clemson (39-17, 17-13), and No. 9 Duke (28-27, 12-18).Â

The ACC Baseball Championship will feature a pool-play format, leading into a four-team, single-elimination bracket to determine the league champion. Each team in the four pools will play one game against each of the other two opponents in its pool Tuesday through Friday (May 23-26). The four teams with the best records within their respective pools will advance to Saturday's semifinals, with the winners playing on Sunday in the ACC Championship Game.Â

Game times Tuesday through Friday are set for 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday's semifinals are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., while Sunday's championship will begin at noon.
