LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the second time in as many years recent graduate Tyler Ross has been named to the Division I All-Southeast Region Team, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday.
This marks the third consecutive year the Wolfpack has had a player selected to the all-region team, as Renada Davis and Emily Weiman earned the honor in 2015 and Ross earned second team honors last season.
Â
She tallied 56 hits this season, leading the team with 46 runs, including 11 home runs, and 41 runs batted in. She also led the squad in four other offensive categories while compiling a .989 fielding percentage.
The Cameron, N.C., native started all 56 games in left field and wrapped up her senior campaign with a .318 batting average, tallying 15 multi-hit games and 12 multiple RBI games.
Â
A week ago she garnered All-ACC First Team honors, ranking among the top 10 in the league at the conclusion of the regular season in five offensive categories: runs, home runs, total bases (101), walks (28) and stolen bases (20).
Â
Additionally, Ross leaves NC State with her name inked in the top five of 13 career offensive categories, and is one of three players to score more than 150 runs.
