RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's tennis team has signed Collin Shick and Tristan Smith to bolster the squad's talent and depth, as announced by head coach Jon Choboy.
Shick and Smith will join the team in the fall of 2017. Both are four-star prospects from the state of North Carolina.
"We are excited on several levels to have Collin and Tristan join the Wolfpack Family," said head coach Jon Choboy. "They are players that come highly recommended from their respective coaches and these are coaches that we know well and respect. They are going to be able to handle the coaching they will receive and will embrace the intensity and level of training required to play in the ACC. They come from outstanding tennis families and will be great supporters to the team and the NC State family. They both play a style of game that fits perfectly with how we prepare our players each and every day. Most importantly they are very well aware of what it means to put on the Wolfpack uniform and the responsibility that comes with it. Collin and Tristan have a chance to develop into excellent players and we are excited to welcome them both and can't wait to get started."
