
Wolfpack Concludes 2017 Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team wrapped up the 2017 Raleigh Relays Saturday at Paul Derr Track. The Pack closed the meet with a win in the men's 4x400 relay and had several strong races throughout the day. Members of the team set PRs, ACC qualifying marks and nationally-competitive times to wrap up the meet.

Jumps:
The Wolfpack women's triple jumpers added to their national marks with personal bests in the event. Javonne Antoine took second with a leap of 41'4.25" to hold the NCAA's sixth-best mark. Amara Bell added a personal best of 40'6.25" to move from 17th to 14th in the NCAA lists.

In the men's event, Kimani "KC" Hoffman improved on his season best and finished sixth with a jump of 48'4.75".

Throws:
Grant Rivers opened the competition Saturday morning in the men's javelin, finishing with a mark of 151'8" for 15th place. In the women's event, Hannah Stokes added personal best of 103'2".

Joshua Davis wrapped up the field events in the men's weight throw, setting a season high mark of 202'0" to finish fourth overall. The mark moves Davis to 22nd in the NCAA national rankings.

Sprinters:
NC State's 200m sprinters both won their respective heats to cap off the individual events on the track. Gabriele Cunningam opened with a victory in the 200m, crossing the finish line in 24.16. She finished .10 ahead of her closest competitor.

In the men's race, Cravont Charleston won his heat from lane eight and finished second overall with a time of 21.26. The race was Charleston's 200m outdoor debut for the Pack.

Mid-Distance:
Kenyetta Iyevbele returned to NC State to win the 800m title with a wire-to-wire victory. Iyevbele crossed the finish line in 2:06.01 for the win, while running for NJNYTC.

In the men's race, Abdur Rahmaan Kelly set a season best 800m time of 1:51.13. The mark shaved nearly four seconds off his 800m from the season opener at the Carolina Relays and marks an outdoor personal best. Additionally, Kelly moves to sixth in the NC State record books with the time.

Philip Hall continued his season with a 1:53.25 in the 800m, finishing fourth in his heat and 13th overall.

Relays:
The Pack closed the meet with strong 4x400 relays. The women's team of Tiana Patillo, Dejah Arnold, Lauren White and Gabriele Cunningham took fourth in their heat with a time of 3:51.56.

The men's team of Junpai Dowdy, Sam Krehnbrink, Dylan Peebles and Cravont Charleston concluded the meet with a victory, crossing the finish line in 3:14.46.
