
Women’s Golf In Fourth After First Two Rounds At LSU Tiger Classic

Two players sit among top 10 of individual leaderboard
BATON ROUGE, La. - The No. 22 NC State women's golf team shot combined scores of 290 and 298 on Friday to sit in fourth of 15 teams with a 12-over par 588 at the LSU Tiger Classic.
Held at The University Club in Baton Rouge, La., Duke leads the competition field through two rounds with a 571 (-5), while Oklahoma State and Arkansas are in a tie for second at 584 (+8).
Two players are in the top 10 of the individual leaderboard, as senior Sarah Bae paced the Pack with a one-under par 143 to sit in fifth place. She carded a season-best three-under 69 in round one and 74 in the second.
Sophomore India Clyburn is in a tie for eighth place after posting rounds of 72 and 73 for a combined score of 145. Her first round score marks her 13th round of even par or better this season.
Naomi Ko and Laura Kowohl share a tie at 29th with 36-hole totals of 151 (+7), each turning in scores of 73 and 78. Leonie Bettel rounded out the top five for the Pack with a 155 to sit in a tie for 53rd, posting scores of 76 and 79.
Cecily Overbey, who is competing as an individual in the tournament, is in 90th with a 170 after turning in rounds of 91 and 79.
Due to adverse weather anticipated in the area Saturday, the final round of the tournament will be contested Sunday in a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
