RALEIGH – For the 23rd time in its history, the No. 17/17 NC State women's basketball team (22-8) is headed to the NCAA Tournament. Announced Monday evening during the 2017 Women's NCAA Tournament Selection Show on ESPN, the No. 6 seed Wolfpack will travel to Austin, Texas, to take on No. 11 seed Auburn on Friday, March 17 inside the Frank Erwin Center (Noon ET on ESPN2).Â
Friday's winner will take on the winner of No. 3 seed Texas and No. 14 seed Central Arkansas on Sunday, March 19.Â

NC State's fourth season under head coach Wes Moore has been a resounding success. The Wolfpack has posted a 22-8 record, finished fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings despite a preseason prediction of seventh, defeated four teams ranked within the national top 15, and posted an impressive 14-2 record inside the newly renovated Reynolds Coliseum.
