Ford, Kozeniesky Conclude Action at NCAA Championships

Duo competes at NCAAs for second consecutive year
COLUMBUS, Ohio – NC State's Caitlyn Ford and Lucas Kozeniesky concluded the 2016-17 season at the NCAA Rifle Championships held inside the French Field House on The Ohio State University's campus.

Kozeniesky finished 19th in the air rifle competition to bring his illustrious collegiate career to a close. He turned in scores of 99 on his first, second, third and sixth series. On his fourth series, the Fairfax, Va., native earned a 97 and a 98 on his fifth series to compile a total score of 591.

Hailing from Fairfax Station, Va., Ford garnered a score of 581 in air rifle headlined by a perfect series to conclude the event. She started the competition with a 97 on her first series and followed that up with 96. The third series was the toughest for Ford, as she recorded a 93 before turning it around to log a 96, 99 and 100 on her final three series.

NC State finished ninth as a team in the final team rankings, one spot shy of earning a team bid to the NCAA Championships.Â

West Virginia claimed the National Championship for the fifth consecutive year with an aggregate score of 4723.
