Frantova, Rebol Land on First In-Season Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – Two from the NC State women's tennis team have been ranked on the lastest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis National Singles and Doubles Poll, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Martina Frantova moved up five places from her previous rank of No. 36 to take the 31st spot on the Division I singles poll. The Slovakia native currently garners a 3-1 singles record and has clinched wins against two ranked opponents including No. 50 Anastasia Rychagova (Kansas) and No. T103 Ana Oparenovic (Arkansas). Frantova fell to No. 7 Luisa Stefani (Pepperdine) to receive her only loss of the season thus far.
Teammate Amanda Rebol made her season debut on the poll, settling at No. 106. Rebol is currently undefeated this season, holding a 5-0 ledger—four of which were straight-set victories.
Both Wolfpackers were also ranked on the Carolina Regional poll, with Frantova at No. 8 and Rebol at No. 20.

The Wolfpack will return to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center for two doubleheaders this weekend. NC State will take on James Madison and Furman on Friday and William & Mary and East Tennessee State University on Sunday.
