Galarneau Named ACC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After an impressive victory over Oklahoma State's No. 30 Lukas Finzelberg, NC State freshman Alexis Galarneau has been named the ACC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Galarneau, who is ranked No. 103 in the latest ITA poll, downed the 12th-ranked Cowboys highest ranked singles player from the second spot in the singles lineup with a decisive 6-1, 6-4 victory.
Galarneau has been a hot hand for the Wolfpack as of late with four-consecutive victories. The freshman has won eight of his last 10 matches and has picked up the first singles point for the Pack in its last four matches.
His win on Sunday marked his first over a nationally-ranked opponent and his 10th win of the season.
The Wolfpack will be in action Friday at 2 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, as the Pack takes on No. 9 Northwestern.
