Name: Jacob Davis Â
Â
Nickname: Jakey Jake. It's just a family nickname.  Â
       Â
Five words (or phrases) to describe me: God fearing, Intelligent, Diligent, Respectful, Hardworking
If a movie were made about me, I would want this actor to play me: Ryan Gosling, because if I were a white guy, that's what I'd want to look like.
What I like most about playing for the Wolfpack: The brotherhood formed from working towards a common goal with a diverse group of individuals.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a ______ when I grew up: Firefighter
Nobody knows how much I like to: Take naps
Why I came to NC State: I heard that they had an exceptional engineering program.
Brothers and sisters: Amber, 30. Joshua, 27. Olivia, 22. Edward 20.
My most embarrassing moment: I had the biggest crush on a girl that I went to school with in elementary school. So, one day I decided to tell my mom about this crush and that the girl was my actual girlfriend. Obviously, this girl was not my girlfriend and this girl also had no idea that I liked her. Nonetheless, that did not stop my mother from wanting to meet my "girlfriend". Long Story made short, my mom ruined everything by walking up to her one day when she came to pick me up after school and asked me, "Is this the little girl that you said was your girlfriend?". That was the single most awkward and embarrassing moment that I immediately think of when I think about embarrassing moments that I have experienced over the course of my life.
My greatest moment outside of sports: Averaging over a 4.0 GPA my freshman year of college.
My favorite player when I was a kid: Adrian Peterson
I'd like to switch places for a day with:Â Lebron James, because he's the biggest sports star of my generation and he's the guy that everyone has a secret admiration for even though they love to hate on him.
If I had to give up all my possessions but one, I'd keep: My iPhone
My best non-football talent: I can sing.
The person who has influenced me the most in my life: My mother, Clare Davis. She has instilled many values that I feel my life is centered around. In addition to that, she is the strongest, hardest working, and most persistent woman in my life. Â
An interesting story about me is: I wouldn't say there are many interesting stories about me, but back in high school I tore my ACL and lost all of the muscle in my left leg. Until this day, my left leg is still noticeably smaller than my right leg even though my left leg is my dominant leg.
My favorite quote: "Get right or get left". Not sure where it originated.
