RALEIGH - The NC State men's swimming team will head to Atlanta, Ga., to compete in the 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship where it will look to extend its back-to-back wins in 2015 and '16 with a third-straight title. The meet will run Feb. 27-March 2 and will be held inside the McAuley Aquatic Center on Georgia Tech's campus.
Two weeks ago, the women's swimming and diving team won its championship meet, marking its first win since 1980 and third overall.Â
The four-day championship will feature preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. each day. Finals sessions on Tuesday through Thursday will be available on ACC Network Extra.
Season Rewind
The Wolfpack closed out its regular season with a perfect record, adding five wins to its ledger. The team opened its season with a dominating victory over No. 23 Wisconsin, winning 224-121. Following that, the team earned wins over Northwestern and No. 2 Texas before opening its ACC dual season. There, NC State found consecutive wins over North Carolina and No. 14 Virginia.Â
The program maintained a top-three rank all season long, tabbing the top nod two times.Â
