DURHAM, N.C. – The NC State gymnastics team spent its Sunday morning volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham.
The team cooked breakfast and spent time with the families living at the house. Over the past few years, the gymnastics team has visited the house several times.
Since 1980, the Ronald McDonald House of Durham has offered a comforting home away from home and a community of support for seriously ill children and their families. Their programs provide families with the comforts of home –private bedrooms, inviting community spaces, home-cooked meals and a stocked kitchen, a playroom, computer room and laundry facilities – as well as a network of support through interactions with other families, staff and volunteers.
The team has dedicated its time to several events throughout the year, including volunteering at the Step Out Walk to stop diabetes, the Spare Some for Autism event and Habitat for Humanity.
The Pack will be back in action this weekend, as it travels to Michigan for a dual meet Friday.
