AMES, Iowa – The NC State distance runners kicked off the day at the Iowa State Classic and finished with several quick times at the nationally-prominent meet. The competition featured loaded fields of distance athletes.

Megan Moye made her season debut and set a national top-20 mark in the mile with a time of 4:39.00 to finish second overall in the invitational. Moye is the school record holder and 2016 Indoor All-American in the event.

Ryen Frazier led the Wolfpack women in the 3,000m, finishing seventh with a time of 9:17.60. Elly Henes took 13th with a mark of 9:28.03, while Alyssa Rudawsky (9:32.29) and Kaitlyn Kramer (9:37.15) crossed the finish line 18th and 20th, respectively.

On the men's side, Sebastian Hanson and Eli Moskowitz added ACC qualifying marks in the 3,000m. Hanson set a PR of 8:08.37 to finish 16th overall and Moskowitz finished 26th overall with a time of 8:12.96.

In the 5,000m, Patrick Sheehan took eighth overall with a time of 14:26.49, while Ben Barrett finished 14th with a time of 14:38.69.

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Pack's throwers, jumpers, sprinters, hurdlers and a group of distance runners competed at the Tiger Paw Invitational.
Â
Cravont Charleston led the Pack's sprinters with a third-place finish in the 60m dash finals. After running 6.78 in the preliminary heat, Charleston ran a 6.70 in his final race of the night.

Nyheim Hines took 11th and Quashawn Cunningham finished 14th in the preliminary races.

In distance events, Samantha George returned to the track for the Pack, finishing fifth overall in the mile. Bethany Neeley added a season best of 4:56.67 to take sixth overall.

In field events, Lauren Evans finished seventh with a toss of 58'8.75" and Joshua Davis took third in the men's weight throw with a throw of 69'2.75".

Kimani "KC" Hoffman led the jumpers, finishing 11th with a mark of 21'10.75" in the men's long jump.

Both groups will be back in action tomorrow, as the team looks to wrap up the weekend.
