RALEIGH, N.C. – With the end of the regular season and start of the bowl season underway, all of the NCAA recognized All-American teams have been released.
Â
After winning both the Nagurski Trophy (nation's top defender) and the Hendricks Award (nation's top defensive end), senior Bradley Chubb was a consensus All-American selection. He was a first team choice by the Walter Camp Foundation, Associated Press, FWAA, Sporting News and AFCA. Chubb led the ACC in both tackles for loss (26) and sacks (10), marks that ranked second and seventh nationally.
Â
Fellow senior Jaylen Samuels earned third-team All-American honors from the Associated Press. Samuels leads the Wolfpack in receptions going into the bowl game with 69. That mark ranks 22nd nationally, and is the second-highest total among non-wide receivers. He also finished with a total of 15 touchdowns, four receiving and 11 rushing.
Â
In his first season at tailback, Nyheim Hines garnered second-team All-American honors by the AFCA. Hines led the Pack in rushing with 1,040 yards and also was fifth in receiving with 25 catches. On special teams, Hines had a combined 610 yards in kickoff and punt returns. He totaled 10 total touchdowns.
