Julius Duchscherer Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

RALEIGH – For the second consecutive season, senior Julius Duchscherer of the NC State men's soccer team has earned first team CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.
A senior midfielder carrying a perfect 4.00 GPA in Business Administration, Duchscherer has helped the Wolfpack (8-5-4) achieve a strong season that includes four wins and three draws with teams ranked within the top 50 of the latest RPI report. The native of Hadamar, Germany, scored four goals (two match winners) in 11 appearances this season, bringing his career total to 18 through 43 matches played.
Duchscherer now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot where first, second, and third team All-America honorees will be selected later in November. At the conclusion of the 2016 season, Duchscherer was a second team Academic All-American.
The Wolfpack will now await the decision of the NCAA Men's Soccer Selection Committee, which will publicly broadcast its bracket on Monday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. via a live video stream on NCAA.com.
