Finley One of Five to Battle for Unitas Award

RALEIGH, N.C. - Wolfpack quarterback Ryan Finley is one of five finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award®, which honors the nation's top quarterback in college football.
The graduate junior joins J.T. Barrett of Ohio State, Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma, Trace McSorley from Penn State and Mason Rudolph from Oklahoma State.
Finley ranks in the top 20 nationally in passing yards and has posted one of the top completion percentages in the FBS throughout the season. He went 379 straight passing attempts without an interception between last season and the eighth game of 2017.
The Golden Arm Award is presented at the end of each season since 1987 to the nation's top college quarterback, based on his accomplishments both on and off the field. Candidates must be a college senior or fourth-year junior on schedule to graduate with their class. Finley earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Boise State and is now pursuing master's degrees in sports performance and youth developmental leadership.
