Men’s Soccer Returns to the NCAA Championship

RALEIGH – The incredible first season under the direction of new head coach George Kiefer and his staff continued on Monday afternoon when it was announced during the 2017 NCAA Men's Soccer Selection Show that the Wolfpack will travel to Conference USA champion Old Dominion on Thursday, November 16 to compete in the first round of the NCAA Championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
NC State's appearance this season in the NCAA Championship marks the first since the 2009 season and just the fourth since the turn of the century. It comes during a season that has featured some incredible moments including two wins over foes ranked in the national top five, four wins over top-39 RPI squads, and three draws against teams within the RPI top 50.
The winner of Thursday's match at Old Dominion will play at national No. 2 seed Indiana on Sunday, November 19.
