NC State Volleyball Set to Host Alumni This Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team will host its Alumni Weekend in conjunction with NC State's Homecoming this weekend (Nov. 3-5). The Wolfpack takes on the Syracuse Orange Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. and the Boston College Eagles Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. in a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matches.

All alumnae of the program are encouraged to attend the weekend's festivities.

NC State volleyball will be celebrating the 30^th Anniversary of the 1987 ACC Championship Team, as the squad will be honored on the court at Friday's match against Syracuse. All alumnae will also be recognized on the court at Friday's match during the intermission between sets two and three.

The '87 Wolfpack squad compiled a 21-9 overall record, highlighted by a 5-1 mark in conference matches en route to earning the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Alumni Weekend will be held in conjunction with NC State's Homecoming, as the football team will host Clemson Saturday, Nov. 4. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. from Carter-Finley Stadium and the volleyball program will be holding a tailgate starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Stadium East Parking Lot. Space numbers are 16043 and 16044.

This season the 2017 NC State volleyball team is enjoying one of its best seasons in program history, as the Wolfpack is 15-8 overall highlighted by a 10-2 mark in ACC play to sit in a three-way tie for first place. NCSU opened conference play 8-0 to record the best start to ACC action in program history.
