RALEIGH, N.C. – Quarterback Ryan Finley and offensive tackle Will Richardson both nabbed ACC Player of the Week honors after helping the Wolfpack to a 39-25 home win over then-#17 Louisville last Thursday night.
Â
Finley was named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week. The Pack's QB engineered the Wolfpack offense with 367 yards through the air, his highest passing tally ever against an ACC foe and the second-highest of his career overall. He completed 20-of-31 attempts, with one score – a 48-yarder to Kelvin Harmon.
Â
The Pack had two different receivers go over 100 yards for just the 11th time in school history, and a third had 99 yards. Finley moved into second place in ACC history for his interception-free streak. He has now thrown 288 straight, currently the most in the NCAA, without being intercepted, second only to NCAA record-holder Russell Wilson in the league record books.
Â
Richardson was named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week. The redshirt-junior received the highest grade on the offensive line for NC State, an almost unreachable 96%. He helped pave the way for 520 yards of total offense, including helping RB Nyheim Hines for his second consecutive 100-yard game. Richardson was in for all 73 offensive snaps, and tallied a pair of knockdown blocks.
