RALEIGH, N.C – ESPN released its Midseason All-America Team on Monday, and the Wolfpack was represented not once, but twice, on that national list. All-purpose back Jaylen Samuels was listed as a tight end, while Bradley Chubb was on the team at defensive end.
Samuels is the only player in the country with at least 15 rushing touchdowns and 15 receiving touchdowns for his career. He has three games of five or more rushes, at least five receptions in every game along with a reception in 34 consecutive games - which ties as the fourth-longest streak in the nation. He ranks 17th in the FBS, 2nd in the ACC, in touchdowns.
Chubb leads the nation in tackles for loss with 14 through the first six games, and is tied for third with 6.5 sacks. He has been named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week in two of the Wolfpack's three league games.
Samuels and Chubb have led the Wolfpack to a 5-1 record overall, the best start for NC State football since 2002, and a 3-0 record in ACC play.

While Samuels' position is a bit hazy -- he's classified as an H-back -- his inclusion on this list shouldn't be.

No FBS defender has caused more backfield havoc than Chubb, who leads the FBS with 14 tackles for loss through the first six games.
