Manny Perez Named TDS National Player of the Week

Wolfpack freshman scored match-winning goal at No. 5/9 Louisville Saturday

RALEIGH – Freshman Manny Perez of the NC State men's soccer team (8-4-3) has been named the TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week, the organization announced recently.

Perez helped the Wolfpack (8-4-3) to wins over UNCW and at No. 5/9 Louisville last week with a combined two goals and three assists for seven total points. The local product from Garner, N.C., assisted on both goals in the win over UNCW and scored twice—including the match winner—and assisted once during NC State's upset win at No. 5/9 Louisville on Saturday.

NC State has secured a finish within the top eight of the ACC standings and closes out the regular season this week at home against Boston College on Friday, Oct. 27. Barring multiple unusual results around the league on Friday evening, the Wolfpack will host an ACC Tournament first round match on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
