Manny Perez Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week

Wolfpack freshman scored match-winning goal at No. 5/9 Louisville Saturday

RALEIGH – Freshman Manny Perez of the NC State men's soccer team has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Perez helped the Wolfpack (8-4-3) to wins over UNCW and at No. 5/9 Louisville last week with a combined two goals and three assists for seven total points. The local product from Garner, N.C., assisted on both goals in the Tuesday win over UNCW and scored twice—including the match winner—and assisted once during NC State's upset win at No. 5/9 Louisville on Saturday.

NC State has secured a finish within the top eight of the ACC standings and closes out the regular season this week with home matches against South Carolina (Oct. 24) and Boston College (Oct. 27).
