RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team clinched its third straight Atlantic Coast Conference win on Thursday evening when it defeated Clemson 1-0 at Dail Soccer Stadium. The win marked the team's ninth shutout of the season as the Wolfpack improves to 11-4-1 (4-3-1 ACC) on the season while the Tigers, who are currently receiving votes for the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, fall to 8-5-2 (2-4-2 ACC).
Although the Pack has two more matches left in its regular season, NC State has matched its number of overall and ACC wins from last season when the program made its historic run to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
