RALEIGH - Defender Lulu Guttenberger was named to Top Drawer Soccer's Top-100 Freshmen List, checking in at No. 31 overall.

The Velburg, Germany, native is one of six on the team and the only freshman to start all 14 matches for the Wolfpack, logging a team-high 1,225 minutes in the backfield and tallying one assist. She has played a vital role in the squad's nine wins and seven shutouts, including its hot 8-1-1 start to the season to mark the program's best start since 2011.

The Wolfpack has been ranked or receiving votes for the top 25 of the United Soccer Coaches Poll the entire season, as it holds two wins and one tie in the midst of a tough ACC schedule.

NC State returns to action Saturday when it hosts Syracuse at Dail Soccer Stadium in its annual Pink Match presented by UNC Rex Healthcare. Kickoff is 2 p.m. and the contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
