Wolfpack Football Ranked #24 in Both Major Polls

RALEIGH, N.C. – Behind its first 2-0 start in ACC play since 2006, NC State is ranked in the top-25 in the two major polls this week. The Wolfpack checks in at No. 24 in the Coaches Poll and the Associated Press ranking.

This week's ranking marks the first for NC State since the final poll of the 2010 season.

"We are happy to be recognized for the progress our program has made," said head coach Dave Doeren. "That said, our focus will stay the same: improving each and every day and focusing only on the game ahead."

The national ranking will be put to the test this week, as NC State hosts No. 17 Louisville in a national TV showdown Thursday night at Carter-Finley Stadium. The contest will be the first between two ranked squads at Carter-Finley Stadium since 2000.
