Wolfpack Moves up to #21 in USA Today Poll

RALEIGH – Following a week of 1-1 action in Atlantic Coast Conference play during which the Wolfpack (14-5, 4-2 ACC) narrowly fell on the road at No. 26/24 Syracuse and defeated No. 12/15 Duke, the NC State women's basketball team moved one spot from No. 22 to No. 21 in the January 17 USA Today poll.

Sunday's win over Duke was NC State's third over a team ranked within the national top 15 since ACC play began on Dec. 29. The Wolfpack remains one of just two teams in the nation (No. 1/1 UConn) to have beaten both Notre Dame and Florida State this season.

NC State is 5-5 against teams in the RPI top 100 this season and all five of the Wolfpack's losses are against teams in the RPI top 40.

The No. 21/21 Wolfpack is next in action at home on Sunday, Jan. 22 against Clemson. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. from Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum.
