NEW ORLEANS – For the third week this season, the men's and women's cross country teams are ranked among the top programs in the nation by USTFCCCA. The Wolfpack women hold their place at fifth, while the men jump up four spots to No. 23.
Last week, the women's team won the adidas XC Challenge for the third consecutive year, led by Erika Kemp, Rachel Koon, and Megan Moye, who finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively. The men's team placed second in a field of 12 teams, scoring 66 points, led by Aubrey Myjer.
Both teams will be back in action at the Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 30. Last year, the Wolfpack swept second place at the invitational against a deep field. The team will look to preform well again this year, as the race has impacted at-large bids for the NCAA Championships in previous years.
