Horton Ranked No. 39 in ITA Preseason Poll

SKILLMAN, N.J. – Nick Horton is ranked No. 39 in the ITA Singles Preseason Poll. It marks a 56-spot increase from his final ITA ranking of the 2015-16 season.
Horton had a phenomenal summer on the ITF Futures Circuit, winning main-draw Futures matches in France and Serbia. Overall he posted five wins in main-draw singles matches and four victories in main draw doubles action.
The Australian has been a regular in the ITA rankings for the Pack. He concluded the year ranked No. 95 in the poll and was also ranked during his sophomore season. He has posted at least 20-win seasons in each of his three years and is currently ranked just out side the Pack's top-10 all time singles list with 65 career victories for the Wolfpack.
In the last year, Horton has moved from No. 1,328 to No. 1,088 in the ITF World rankings. He has also posted similar numbers in doubles action, moving from No. 1,314 to No. 1,028 during the 2016 season.
He recently wrapped up play in the main draw at the Cary Tennis Championships, an ATP Challenger event. He is slated to begin his fall NCAA/ITA season in the coming weeks.
