Ko Posts Top-Eight Finishes At Canadian Championships

Ko wins Canadian Junior Championship
NC State women's golf's Naomi Ko wrapped up play at consecutive tournaments in Canada on Friday with back-to-back top-eight finishes at the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship and Canadian Junior Girls Championship.
Ko managed to win the Canadian Junior Girls Championship after posting a four-day score of 283 (-5). The championship was held at The Links at Penn Hills in Schbenacadie, Nova Scotia on Aug. 2-5. Her showing was highlighted by a day two score of 67 (-5).
Ko's win at the junior championship earned her an exemption into the 2017 Canadian Women's Amateur.
At the Canadian Women's Am she carded a four-day total of 279 (-1) to finish in a tie for seventh place, which was held at Ken-Wo Country Club in New Minas, Nova Scotia on July 26-29. She opened the week with a one-under par 69, which was followed by three consecutive rounds of 70 (E).
She was the top finisher among Canadian participants at the amateur championship, which earned Ko a spot at the 2016 Canadian Pacific Women's Open. The open will be held Aug. 22-28 at Priddis Greens Country Club in Calgary.
