MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-Â NC State swimming and diving's Hannah Moore had a strong showing in her first day of competition at the 2016 United States Open on Tuesday, as she posted a runner-up finish in the 800m freestyle.
Held inside Minnesota's Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center, the rising junior posted a personal-best time of 8:28.23.
She is slated to compete through Saturday in Minneapolis in the 200 backstroke, 400 individual medley and 200 IM, as prelims will begin at 10 a.m. ET and finals will commence at 6 p.m. ET.
