Edwards Speaks at Welcome Back Pack Dinner

RALEIGH, N.C. – On Tuesday night, the NC State Athletics Department hosted the annual Welcome Back Pack Dinner in Talley Student Center. NFL analyst and former NFL player and coach Herm Edwards concluded the night with words of wisdom for NC State's student athletes, coaches and support staff.
Athletics Director Debbie Yow addressed the crowd to open the program. Yow spoke on achieving the Pack's goal of finishing top-25 in the nation in the Directors Cup.
Following Yow's comments, Senior associate athletics director Raymond Harrison took the stage for to introduce Edwards. The former NFL star player and coach began by detailing the importance of representing the university and wearing the NC State jersey.
Edwards also spoke on a variety of topics including, academics, commitment to the team and the opportunity for the athletes. He exited the stage with a standing ovation.
Following the speech, he held a meet and greet with the athletes where he took pictures and passed on words of advice.
