Talk about how your summer has been going.
"My summer has been going really well. I've been here for summer session I and II, so a lot of school work but I've managed to find time for some fun. Perry [Ramsey] and I recently went to Hanging Rock State Park, so that was a nice trip."
Â
How excited are you to play in the newly renovated Reynolds Coliseum?
"I'm really excited, especially because we'll have air conditioning. It will be a super nice experience and being on the first team to play in there will be really cool."
Â
Have you been able to get in the gym this summer?
"We have open gym at least four times a week, so we've been getting in there and getting work done."
Â
Was there anything in particular that you wanted to work on this summer for the season?
"I wanted to work on having a flatter and tougher float serve."
Â
What are your goals for the team this year?
"With a new coach, we have a lot of expectations that we're going to have a much better season than we did last year. We want to out team our opponents and out work them as well."
Â
What are your individual goals for your season?
"To do whatever I can to make the team better and have an important role on the team."
Â
Have you had a chance to take any personal trips yet or do you have any planned?
"For the Fourth of July, some of us went to the beach and Perry and I made the trip to the state park but not much outside of those two."
