RALEIGH, N.C. - Fans can see the 2016 Wolfpack football squad in action more than a month before the season kickoff and donate to a worthy cause by coming out to the team's sixth annual Lift for Life on July 20.
The Wolfpack chapter of Uplifting Athletes will continue its mission of raising awareness and research dollars for leukemia by holding an open PRP (Player Run Practice) on Wednesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Close-King Indoor Practice Facility on Westchase Boulevard.
Admission is free, but fans are asked to consider a minimum donation of $1 per person as they enter the gates.
"We had a great crowd at last year's event and we are hoping to have even more folks out next week," said junior tight end Cole Cook, one of the Pack's chapter leaders. "This event gives us an opportunity to raise money for a good cause, and gives our great fans a chance to see what we do during the summer."
Founded in 2011, the NC State chapter chose its rare disease to champion when former offensive coordinator Dana Bible was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, a rare cancer of the blood.
