Talk about how your summer has been going.
"My summer has been good. I have an internship with USA Baseball as a communications coordinator, so I've been doing a lot with that, which is really neat since it's based out of North Carolina. It's a pretty big deal and I'll be traveling to Chicago in July to be a press officer for the 17U National Team, so I'm really excited about that."
Â
How excited are you to play your final season in the newly renovated Reynolds Coliseum?
"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. It's going to be awesome! I think it's really cool that I got to experience Reynolds before the renovation and I'll also have the opportunity to be on the first team to play in the newly renovated Reynolds, which will be awesome.
Â
"We're going to have one of the best facilities in the country and I'm really looking forward to being back in our home. We're all really lucky to be a part of the first team to play in Reynolds after the renovation is complete."
Â
Have you been able to get in the gym this summer?
"Yes. Even though I've been pretty busy, I've still made time to get in the gym and play as much as I can."
Â
Was there anything in particular that you wanted to work on this summer for the season?
"One of my main things has been to work on my consistency with my outside sets to get the speed that we want."
Â
What are your goals for the team this year?
"We just want to win as much as we can. For the past three years that I've been here, it's been tough at the end of every season because we've always asked the question what if we had done this or that differently and we don't want to ask what if anymore.
Â
"We want to be able to say this is what we did and we accomplished everything that we wanted and tried our best while doing it. We're going to do everything that it takes to make this year a great season."
Â
What are your individual goals for your senior season?
"Personally, I just want to be a good teammate and a great leader both on and off the court. Hopefully, I can use my past experiences to help the younger girls on the team and help the team be as successful as we possibly can."
Â
Have you had a chance to take any personal trips yet or do you have any planned?
"My family goes to the beach in South Carolina for about a week every year and I was able to do that with them a couple of weeks ago, surprising my parents because they didn't know I was coming.
Â
"I also went hiking recently with Emily Harris to Hanging Rock State Park and we hiked around the mountain and that was really cool."
