Pack’s all-purpose player earned honors last night with 4x100 meter relay
Running back/wide receiver/kick returner Nyheim Hines could be considered the first two-sport All-American in the history of the Wolfpack football program. Â

The rising sophomore was a member of the NC State 4x100 meter relay squad that earned All-America honors last night at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Hines was also a 2015 Freshman All-American on the gridiron according to Athlon and 247Sports.com after a season that saw him post the fourth-highest kickoff return total in school history (920).

The Garner native now posts the second-best career kickoff return average in school history with a 26.3 mark. He tallied 169 yards in the contest with Louisville in 2015, the fifth-highest single-game total in school history and led the team with 109.2 all-purpose yards per game.
On the track, Hines made the All-ACC team in the 60m dash and 100m dash and was an ACC Champion in the 4x100. The freshman also holds a top-10 mark in school history in the 60m dash(6.74) and his squad's 4x100 time(39.11) ranks second in school history.
