ACC Honors 2016 Postgraduate Scholarship Recipients

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference today honored 52 student-athletes who were previously named postgraduate scholars. Among the honorees, 43 student-athletes were selected for the 2016 Weaver-James-Corrigan Award, including three student-athletes who received the Thacker Award. An additional nine student-athletes who plan to pursue professional careers in their chosen sports were named honorary recipients.
NC State had three student-athletes at the annual luncheon, and a fourth was recognized but could not attend.
Men's track & field All-American Jonathan Addison (Indistrial Engineering) and Kaitlyn Kramer (Chemical Engineering: Textiles) of the women's cross country/track & field squads both received a ACC Postgraduate Scholarship.
Two-time national champion Nick Gwiazdowski (Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management) of the wrestling team and football's All-American offensive tackle Joe Thuney (Accounting) both received the Weaver-James-Corrigan Honorary Award, as they plan to pursue professional careers in their chosen sport.
