Tyler Ross smashes her team-leading 11th home run of the year
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State softball team rallied late, but came up short against the Bryant Bulldogs in its final game of the DoubleTree RDU Invite Sunday afternoon at Dail Stadium, 8-5.
The short-handed Wolfpack falls to 15-14 on the season and will be back in action Tuesday evening against instate foe East Carolina at home. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
Quick Hits
- Due to injuries in the NC State pitching staff, sophomore Meredith Burroughs made her first career start in the circle after throwing three scoreless innings Saturday.
- She pitched 6.1 innings, striking out two batters. Burroughs held Bryant without an earned run until the seventh inning.
